The Regional Directorate of Education of Crete supervises and coordinates four (4) Directorates of Secondary across the Region of Crete, one for each Regional Unit (Prefecture) of Crete.
Through these Directorates, the Regional Directorate ensures the effective operation of schools, provides administrative and pedagogical support, and implements national and regional educational policies at both primary and secondary education levels.
